Can you use multiple photos to do a family portrait?
Yes. Each portrait is drawn individually so you can choose the best photo of each person to make the family portrait.
I'll arrange them in one picture to look like they've posed together.
What are the prices for portraits? Is it one price for all?
Each portrait is a unique work of art that captures the essence of that person and I offer the following Portrait types:
Type 1 - Individual portrait - €275
Type 2 - Couple portrait - €549
Type 3 - Family portrait (up to 4 people) - €990
Type 4 - Watercolour portrait - €549
Type 5 - Pet portrait - €220
Every portrait commission is different so if you have an idea that's not mentioned here, contact me for a quote.
What size are the portraits?
For an individual portrait, I work on A3 (29x42cm) and this size increases with the number of people in the portrait.
Do you provide framing?
Yes. I feel it's important to get your portrait in a frame as soon as possible to protect and preserve it to last a lifetime.
So I will arrange framing for you and have it delivered safely to your front door by courier.
If it's a delivery outside Ireland, it will be posted in a tube with instructions for framing included.
What if I'm not happy with it?
To secure your booking I ask for a 30% deposit. When I've finished your portrait, I will send you a photo of it.
If there are any minor alterations you would like, I will try to adjust the drawing. If after the adjustments you are still not happy with the portrait, you may cancel your order.
The deposit will not be returned at this point.
Do you do portraits from life (sittings)?
At the moment I do not have the facilities to do life portraits so all my work is done from reference photos.
Can you work from old photos?
Yes. It's amazing the amount of detail I can get from an old photo so if you're not sure, just send it to me by WhatsApp on 087 8117331 and I'll let you know.
