How to order a Portrait
Commissioning a portrait is straightforward but it's not something you do everyday. So you want to get it right.
I understand that.
That's why I've laid out the process below in 6 simple steps.

2. Fill in the Contact Form
Portraits can take from one week to four weeks depending on how busy I am at the time.
If you have a particular deadline, I will try to have it done by then if possible.
To enquire about your portrait painting or drawing, you can fill in a Contact Form.
I will get back to you within a day and together we will decide on the best size and medium for your portrait.

The most important thing you can do is find a great photo.
I need a focused, well-lit, head and shoulders photo in order to get a good likeness.
Natural daylight is the best if you're taking a photo for a portrait commission.
You can email your best photos to me at Mary@maryduffyportraits.ie or text/WhatsApp them to me on
087 8117331 and I'll let you know if they're suitable.
3. Pay a deposit
After we've discussed your needs and requirements and you're ready to book your portrait, I will send you a payment link for a 30% deposit. This secures your portrait to be done by the date agreed.
Please read the Terms and Conditions before paying the deposit.
4. Portrait begins
Once I have received your 30% deposit I will begin work on your portrait. Each portrait gets my individual attention and I will continue working on it until I'm completely satisfied that I've captured the essence of the subject.
5. Finished Portrait
When the portrait is finished, I will take a photo of it and send it to you.
If you are completely happy with your portrait, I will send you a payment link for the balance.
6. Shipping of your finished piece
Local delivery or collection can be arranged if you live within a reasonable distance of my studio in Ratoath.
If you are further afield, I will carefully prepare your portrait for Courier delivery.
Shipping is free for all Irish deliveries.
You should receive it in 2 to 3 days at most.
